MysticBuffalo.com FAQs (frequently-asked questions)

Category: Main -> About Us and Mystic Buffalo?

Question
·  Who Are We?
·  Where did "Mystic Buffalo" come from?
·  Where do you get all the information?
·  Can I help?
·  Where does the money from the Trading Post go?
·  Do we sell our member list?

Answer
·  Who Are We?

We are just a couple of people who have an interest in rendezvous. We were talking one day about how there isn't a central place to find event dates and information regarding rendezvous. So we set out to set something up. We know that this will be a work in progress forever, adding event dates, photo and other news continuously. You can help by submitting news and events.
Anyway, Matt had a webserver and Sharon had information so, we started putting MysticBuffalo.com together.
By the way, We are both Thomas', we are brother and sister-in-laws to one another.

·  Where did "Mystic Buffalo" come from?

If you look though the Scrapbook you will notice that Perry and Sharon's tipi have buffalo on it. It got named Mystic Buffalo at rendezvous. We liked the name for a website and it was available.

So in short, it is named after their tipi.

·  Where do you get all the information?

We get a lot of the information by searching the Internet for event, club and personal sites. If information is sketchy or nonexistant we e-mail contacts requesting information about current and future events.

You want to help? Sure!!! Just submit events, links, trade blanket items to the appropiate section of the website. Or you can just sent it to booshway@mysticbuffalo.com

·  Where does the money from the Trading Post go?

At the moment we only sell The Mountain Tees.
The profit from the sell of these goes to support this site. That means to cover the cost of the ISP, webserver and registration costs.
All the information is gathered and entered strictly on a volunteer basis.

Hopefully in the future we will have merchants sell their items here. All profits will be theirs for the taking and just be offered here as a service to the community.
