Really that few.... Was it a nice camp? The Mystic Buffalo gang had a family situation come up and couldn't make it which would have made it I guess 8 camps.
They treated us well last year, small but enjoyable.
I hope your not upset based on your frowning face? |

Yeah, I know what you mean. You are not the only one to give a negative opinion about this year's Echert's event.
I heard there was an argument or fight, do you know anything about that? |

| don't really know...i do know some of the more primative campers voiced thier opinion about the car, truck , motorcycle in camp and the unwillngness of some not to dress. i will go to some of the "flea markets" (we like rellikies) but when they close the gate u usually get back to the 'vous camp pretty quickly, at eckerts it was like "The show's over, we can do whatever". i won't say we will not go back...but we'd like to fell like we been to a 'vous when we get home. |

| I'M GUILTY. Our daughter's fly up here from Florida to go to their Grand-fathers funeral services, and instead of staying at our empty house, they decided to come to Eckerts with us. And of course they did not have an outfit to wear, so they came in flatlanders clothing. Even in their flatlanders clothing - we all had a good time. On another subject - the 'more primitave campers' voicing their opinion, they should have taken their complaints to the Boosway. Thats all I have to say! I did not get involved in it at Eckerts and I'm not going to get involved in it here. |

Well I know for us life just gets in the way of going to rendezvous sometimes and this year has been an usually bad year for that.
"Discussions" happen all the time at events, we should let it discourage us. If an event doesn't fit us then we should pick a different one to attend as each event has it's own personality based on the people who run it (Booshway).
I know that situations like the one at Eckert's could be avoided ifthe rules and expectations are ahead of time. That is a probably with some of the events that happen around here is that they assume everyone knows the rules and expectations so they don't need to be expressed. I think this is a problem waiting to happen. |
