Hi, this is my first visit here.
I was a vendor/demonstrator at the Historic Timeline Encampment in Fredericktown, MO today. Will be there again tomorrow. I make/sell goat milk soap and I demonstrated how to make an Amish Knot rag rug. I usually spin on my spinning wheel or knit, but this event wanted to show authentic equipment in use.....My spinning wheel is made of PVC pipes and I don't yet have wooden knitting needles.
My family and I met a lot of nice people and enjoyed ourselves today. My 9 yr. old son loved the knights and the Scottish games. He got to try on armor and "sword fight." He wants to be a knight now.
I found out about your site from a re-enactor who told me about the calendar of events to find out about other re-enactments in the area.
Bye for now! |
