I'm 52 years old and a father of 2 and live in Litchfield, IL, My daughter is 9 and my son is 12, and they are my rendezvous partners. I have been buckskinning for about 20 years. I grew up in southern Indiana near Friendship and have shot and hunted with muzzle loaders most of my life. I build my own guns and make everything except the lock and barrel on the forge.
I am a former NMLRA Field Rep. and former Midwest Regional Field Rep. Coordiator, certified national range officer, designer of the NMLRA Postal Matches and served as coordinator of that program for 2 years. I am also a past NMLRA Director.
Always was accused of being an over achiever.
With that work behind me I'm now just in it for the fun and to watch my kids have fun. I stopped going to rendezvous for a while and got into trekking. Now that the kids want to do it, I just bought a new camp and am back on the trail. |

Sorry it's been a busy week trying to get work done and getting ready for the Grafton Rendezvous.
Welcome to camp TwoHoles, hope that you find Mystic Buffalo a pleasant place to visit.
The people are good, maybe a little quiet (sometimes), but still enjoyable people.
Are you coming to Grafton? |

| No, I didn't make it. My son and I set up our camp at my daughter's Girl Scout fall campout and did a dutch oven cooking demo. Chocolate chip cookies in the evening and cinnamon rolls for breakfast. |

| Been to Prarieland many times over the years, but not for awhile. Great shootin' event. Almost too much shootin', if there is such a thing. Headed for the Fall Fort in the AM. |

| Hi Pocat...I have been wanting to get the Litchfield Rendevous going again too. I have been in touch with the VFW in Litchfield and the Commander has show interest in Sponsoring the event (Insurance on their Charter) but have not heard fomr them since. I talked to them in September at HoneyBend. Also the Commander of Troy (Corky) VFW is interested too. |

| As some of you probably know, Jim "9 Fingers" Kirby, who ran that renedezvous, passd away. His sons, and everal of our group, " The Cirlce of Friends", have been looking into getting this event going again. I'll keep you informed. I would be intereted in hearing from those who could be counted on to help. Due to wanting to carry on Jim's tradition it is important that anyone helping be able to keep "camp politics" out of this event. |
