Don, what plans do you have already? Hopefully you'll have a landing for voyaguers and hawk throws. Keep me posted.

thanks for the reply john. i would like to have a bow shoot, knife and hawk throw. we cannot do a shoot due to area being surrounded by state refuge and a state park a few miles away. the owner of the propety has indian buriel mounds on the property and would give tours. other than that this will be the first one. i need ideas. we will have water, restroon facilities and firewood on site.

The first thing is to pick a date that doesn't conflict with another popular event within 100-150 miles, and that takes somedoing.

Also one thing we do is Saturday night have a "Circle Supper". Have every camp cook one thing. Then everyone goes from camp to camp filling thier plate. This is a huge amount of food. Really makes for camp comroderie. We have a judge go first and make a cooking contest out of it. The winner is the judge next year. We even give a homemade trophy.
