| Hello to all. I live in Olney, IL, but lived for ten years in St Elmo, IL. Thats where I got started. It appears at that time most of the board of directors for the Prarieland Frontiersmen. lived there. Which now I am glad of. I started out by buying a hunting smokepole. I also made the statement to Larry "Scalper" Stolte, that that all I wanted. He said, Yeah, right! Now, after about fifteen years later, and more money spent that I care to remember, here I am going nuts waiting for a rondy. I finally got a place for my stuff. A brand new enclosed trailer. Now I can load the water and food and go live the good life more often. One thing for sure, I can't wait to see my old friends more often. Now for the advertisement. If you have never camped at Prarieland near Sullivan, IL, you should. The spring rondy happens the last weekend of April. We usually have just over 100 camps, sometimes more. It is just a super nice time! With some awesome people! Come out and see us, to camp, shoot, throw your hawk, or just relax. See ya soon! |

Welcome ilbass, glad to have you with us. Do you ever get to any northern Illinois rondy's? If so, hope to see you around.

| I haven't been up north yet. But i'm not saying I won't in the future. Having the trailer makes life so much easier when it comes time to go. Beats the heck out of loading all your gear in the back of your truck three feet above the cab and driving home 40 mph. |

ilbass22,
Welcome to Mystic Buffalo. Glad to here that you will make more events this year, and to the trailer it does make a world of difference.
Feel free to post the event for Prairieland on the Gatherin Calendar. I will get them submitted sometime as we have been listing them for a few years now if you don't list them before me
Hope you enjoy our virtual rendezvous. |
