Welcome to Mystic Buffalo.com. I hope that you enjoy your visit here.
I would like to explain the concept that is Mystic Buffalo.com. Mystic was created one day while Perry, Sharon, Matt and Melanie were sitting around the table. We were discussing the fact that it would be nice to have a place where people interested in rendezvous and reenacting history could go for info. A forum to learn and/or share, whether it is to share date and info on an event, share your knowledge of blacksmithing, beadwork, clothing, gunsmithing, etc …..
It was our dream to provide a place that would bring likeminded people closer together, however it seems that lately this has been just the opposite consensus of many of our community members. So I am going to take a couple minutes of your time to clear the air so to speak.
First and for most, Mystic Buffalo does not promote any one event. We will list any event that we are notified of and update it at your request.
Second, we do not favor one group of members over another. It has come to our attention that there are some members that feel we show favoritism toward one group over another, how is this possible when we do not “Booshway” an event?
Third, Mystic Buffalo will not get involved in “Political Games” between clubs, groups etc. We got involved in Rendezvousing as a means of escaping these types of things in daily life. As a family we use the rendezvous as a time to reconnect with our family, friends, and maybe have a little fun along the way.
Finally, please remember that the options of the members of Mystic Buffalo are by no way the options of the Mystic Buffalo Family.
Again, we hope you enjoy Mystic Buffalo and find it useful. We really try to make this site that is useful for all.
The Mystic Buffalo Family

Well, another Camp DuBois Rendezvous had come and gone. We had a great time and hope everyone else did too.
Perry and I just wanted to thank everyone. Want to start with the Heritage Council for being so helpful and supportive. A huge Thanks to Matt Thomas for the awsome flyers ( Sorry for the jokes). A speical thanks to C.J. and everyone else who worked on making Camp DuBois a reality. And thank you to the Traders, Vendors, and Re-enactors, if it wasn't for each and everyone of you this event would not have been a huge success. We thank each and everyone of you for your support, cooperation, and suggestions. We hope to see each and everyone of you back at Camp DuBois in 2010.
Just a final thanks again. I am sure I forgot to mention someone in this article, i am sorry it was not on purpose.
Thanks,
Sharon Thomas

Spoke with CJ on the phone this morning - he is home from the hospital, on oxygen. Trying to get his strength back, feels better just being home. Will go to church next Sunday and then plans on being at the Rendezvous for a couple of hours, after church. Said to tell everyone hello! See you at the Camp!
Thanks for the update Nancy.

We have added 6 new events to the Gatherin's List. Please make sure you check your calendars.
If you know of an event please "Submit A Gatherin" and share it with everyone else.
We make the best attempt that time allows to gather event information and post it, but if everyone submitted an event or 2 we could share numerous events from little work on anyone of us.
