I went to the Fort de Chartres event this last weekend. I was wondering if anyone could help me out..As you walked straight out of the front gate and towards the highway along the tree covered lane there was a trader (business) set up, I believe on the left side (could have been anywhere the length of the avenue between the fort gate and the road as described above)..

you walked into the tent of the business and all the way in the back to the right I believe were some glass wampum bracelets A black and white one with a cross design stands out..They had leather ties (two I believe) and were leather backed (that is the wampum was on the front)..The leather may have been buckskin....does this sound familiar to anyone????.I lost the business card I got from this fellow...Also, I have been referred to John Mefford of Granite city in regards to Wampum...anyone have his contact info. Please contact me at bertslater@aol.com.
