Hardtack


Ingredients
4 cups flour
2 tbs. Br. Sugar
1 teaspn. Salt
Quarter cup Butter
1 cup Milk

Description
Mix, butter, salt, br. sugar, into flour.
Add milk. (if too dry-add 1 tbls.milk at a time until you have good dough).
Roll out on floured board, to about 1/4" thick.
cut to size(3x3, 3 1/2 x 5 1/2).
Bake 15 - 18 minutes @ 425 deg. on ungreased cookie sheet.
Enjoy.

This recipe was given to me by a Military Re-enactor,
Steve Wilton.
Its one of the best Hardtack recipes I have tried.
